Cancon and MaK15

So Cancon 2026 has come and gone.  it was hot.  it was humid in the sheds.  I'm glad I wasn't playing anything.

I actually visited all three days (first time I've done that) and Monday was more or less the same as the weekend days though i believe they wind down early so they can pack up and choof off home etc.

I think I'm heading into a hobby era again and I've earmarked a few potential/likely projects...

a)  I want to finish off my Epic Titan/Knights models/lists.   While I have a tonne of Titans and Knights care of AT,  I need some Support units (infantry, planes etc) to complete the set, as it were.  I picked up most of the units I want to add, so these need painting and I can box them.  Also the Titans/Knights need painting finished as they're not complete yet - lots of work there.

b)  I want to review my OPR stuff as I may be getting some games. Maybe.  But I have a proxy Land Raider on route so might be nice to get latest rules and makes some lists.   not really looking to add more models (though I still haven't finished the Chaos Terminators from last year... whoops).   I do have a very small wish list of units for OPR forces, but these are special units (i.e. tyranid psyker units or stealth units) but really limited - didn't find anything obviously in the bring-and-buy.

c)  I had a demo game of   "Maschinen Krieger in 15mm" ('Ma.K in 15mm'  or as I call it "mak15").  It was good. fairly simple but with a little crunch to it... probably about the same as OPR but with fewer units.   The names of the units are going to be tough to remember, but the models are really to my liking.  Not huge on the lore (rarely am) but the game and the models are pretty cool.

I decided to get a handful of units. Not sure that I got a legally table-able army but feels kinda close. A fun painting project for now, I love 15mm, so I'm looking forward to that.  Not sure if there are any players locally but I hope to find some (feels like a replay of Halo... but I live in hope :) )   and I guess I will probably get the 'starter kit' models at some stage, if I enjoy the painting experience enough.

So... this might be the first of a few progress posts.  We'll see hey.

[Mainly 'IMA' army units except for the one on the right.  Pretty much ready for undercoating coat.]

Until next time...
