Hobby Adjacent - Coffee Update - 202207

There are times when victories really don't feel like victories. This is one such time.

These are the same beans i reported on last time. It's mid-winter, there are frosts and they're deciding it's time to start (very slowly) ripening.

I decided it was time to harvest them before they felt like falling off of their own accord.
Both meagre cases fit on an (au) $2 coin with room to spare.

No idea what to do with them.

Anyways, in their mini-greenhouses they decided to ripen. I noticed these ones turning yellow after i returned from our latest flood shenanigans.

I think in summer they're going to need repotting as the soil level seems to be getting getting low, possibly pruning as well, cos apparently that inspires new growth, the type that gets fruits.
I'm also considering planting them in a shadier corner of the garden.

Will also check for curl grubs which seem to infest everything (especially pots) around here. I got some grub killer for lawns and will try hitting everything with that when it gets warmer.

So, the results;  I have produced coffee beans (yes, plural), which I believe, in the very loosest sense of the definition, makes me a coffee farmer.  Boom!

Quick Update 2022-09-04
One of the other beans has plumped up a bit and turned orange-red. Actually a couple of the original beans are getting bigger.

I took the covers off a couple of weeks ago as the weather was feeling 'generally warmer'... Though it's swinging wildly at the moment.
